Overview

ESB Solar (Ireland) Limited is developing a new renewable energy project, Carriglong Solar Farm, located to the north of Tramore, Co Waterford.

Construction of the 32.7MW farm begins in February 2025 and once complete, it will have enough capacity to power approximately 9,500 homes, farms and businesses.

As part of this project, we are committed to engaging closely with the local communities surrounding the site to ensure the successful delivery of Carriglong Solar Farm by Summer 2026.

As part of ESB’s Net Zero to 2040 strategy, our ambition is to develop and acquire 1.8 GW of solar by 2030 and we will continue to develop our growing solar energy portfolio, partnering with others to help deliver this.
